NAVFAC PACIFIC is recruiting Environmental Planners for our NEPA Infrastructure and NEPA Operations & Ranges branches within the Environmental Planning Division. These are permanent Federal positions. Planners are responsible for the preparation of environmental planning documents and associated consultations and permits for the Navy and supported Commands in Hawaii and the Pacific. 

 DUTIES:  This position will provide support to the Environmental Planning Product Line, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific. Duties include:

• Represent the Navy in meetings and conferences with DOD senior leadership, activity personnel and elected/appointed officials at local, regional, state and federal levels.
• Review Navy shore facilities planning documents (master plans, capital improvement plans, special studies, construction and repair projects and site approval request).
• Serve as contract COR and/or CTO COR for complex AE contracts for environmental planning services.
• Lead an individually chartered team to complete NEPA documents.
• prepare and review Environmental Assessments (EAs)/Overseas EAs (OEAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)/Overseas EISs (OEISs) for proposed operations, training, homeporting/home-basing actions.
• prepare and review Environmental Assessments (EAs)/Overseas EAs (OEAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)/Overseas EISs (OEISs) for proposed shore infrastructure projects.
• Provide environmental planning consultation services, professional guidance and general assistance regarding NEPA and environmental compliance for proposed military operations, exercises, construction projects and force alignments.
• Mentor GS-12 and below co-workers regarding Navy and Marine Corps compliance with NEPA
