APA National’s Planners Advocacy Network: Making an Impact Through Advocacy
APA's Planners Advocacy Network builds critical support for planning at both the state and federal levels. Membership provides planners with support for their planning advocacy initiatives. Members receive regular policy updates coming out of Washington and state capitals while also receiving advocacy training tailored to meet their needs. The network has also assembled a toolbox of resources to aid advocacy efforts. The Advocate’s Toolbox contains a guide to emailing elected officials and a checklist to plan a site visit or tour with elected officials, amongst other resources.
